Singapore, 3 June 2022 - JCDecaux Singapore (“JCDecaux”), the leading outdoor advertising company in Singapore and a subsidiary of the JCDecaux Group, today announced that it has launched programmatic trading for its inventory of 50 digital screens at Singapore Changi Airport – adding 20 million monthly impressions and growing to their existing programmatic inventory in Singapore.
The milestone offering will connect advertisers and media buyers to premium advertising inventory at Changi Airport via VIOOH, the leading premium global digital OOH supply side platform, that is connected to leading global demand side platforms (DSPs). This new capability will enable programmatic trading with higher campaign effectiveness, flexibility and efficiency. Advertisers will be able to leverage on JCDecaux’s Airport Audience Measurement (AAM), the first international industry standard that offers standardised global metrics of airport audiences, to optimise their campaign budget for maximum impact through data-led buying decisions.
Evlyn Yang, Managing Director of JCDecaux Singapore said, “We are excited to launch this key milestone for our advertising media at Changi Airport. As the industry leader in digitization, we are constantly innovating for solutions that leverage technology and consumer insights to deliver greater premium and value to our airport and brand partners. Programmatic buying will be a key growth driver; we believe it will elevate the media buying and passenger engagement experiences at Changi Airport with more precise targeting and relevant messaging.
In a recent global survey, airport advertising media delivers the highest perceived value for brands. As air travel recovers and passenger traffic rebound strongly, advertisers can once again look forward to reinforcing their brand affinities with key business executives and affluent leisure travellers at Changi Airport, the top Asian air hub.
With this latest launch, JCDecaux programmatic DOOH will offer 120 million monthly impressions across 191 digital screens islandwide, at bus shelters in prime Orchard and CBD areas, major residential heartlands, premium malls (ION Orchard, Raffles City as well as Jewel), and now at
Singapore Changi Airport.”
Teo Chew Hoon, Managing Director of Airside Concessions at Changi Airport Group (CAG), said, “We are pleased that JCDecaux is launching new technology that brings the future of media buying to Changi Airport. Programmatic trading will enable advertisers to include Changi Airport’s digital media as part of their omni-channel planning. As travel recovers, we look forward to welcoming more advertisers and brands onboard Changi Airport, and are thrilled that we are able to work with them to better engage consumers with elevated experiences, as well as offer our travellers more personalised and relevant recommendations when they pass through Changi Airport.”
Jean-Christophe Conti, Chief Executive Officer at VIOOH said, “The airport audience tends to be affluent, ready to spend and have a high dwell time - making this audience desirable from a programmatic perspective due to these highly sought-after audience segments. Therefore, by combining JCDecaux’s premium inventory with VIOOH’s programmatic capabilities is an exciting development for this market as it enables advertisers to create highly targeted, flexible and measurable DOOH campaigns across Changi Airport - allowing more brands to directly engage with this desirable audience.”
